The Little Things in Life

The small and sweet things in life really do leave the largest impact on our souls. I had met Jen one night heading home from work and the connection between us sparked instantly. It’s like when you first meet someone and your brainwaves synchronize. It was evident to me that she was a beautiful person inside and out. Our interaction was brief and I was able to quickly tell her where I worked before she ran off the train. After a few minutes of thinking about our soulful interaction, I had convinced myself that I’d never see her again. I embraced the fleeting moment and continued with the rest of my day.

A few months later, after that experience was long lost in my subconscious mind, Jen walked into my job with a huge smile on her face. It took me a moment to recognize her but when I did, I was buzzed with excitement! Compassion and gratitude is an understatement – I was humbled in every way. Not only did she remembered me but she remembered me telling her where I work. She wanted to say goodbye to me because she was moving to Hawaii that week. I really cannot begin to tell you all how filled with Love I was in that moment. She hugged me and told me how much she loved my energy. She was hoping to run into me so that she could let me know. Her timing could not have been more divine… We didn’t exchange contact because somehow we both telepathically knew it wasn’t necessary. That moment was all each of us needed.

It’s powerful connections and experiences like this that fuel me with endless passion for life. It’s wonderful to know that I attracted her as she attracted me and we were able to receive one another wholeheartedly. It’s easy to become closed off and distant living in NYC, but these kind of interactions truly keep the soul bright and young. Opening up and putting all your compassion and love on the table for others to taste is uplifting and nourishing. I may never see Jen again but she will always be remembered.

May we love and be loved.
